Description:
The jar has a flared rim, a short neck, a slim shoulder, a plump bottom, a flat base, a short foot ring, and a cover made in the Qing period. The interior rim is decorated with a band of dots. The exterior illustrates six entwining floral scrolls including peony, water chestnuts, lotus, hibiscus, chrysanthemum, and camellia. The bottom is adorned with two layers of lotus petals, below which are two blue lines, contrasting the three lines on the top. The floral motif on the cover is akin to that on the jar, although the former has only lotus, chrysanthemum, water chestnuts, and hibiscus. The double-ringed reign mark on the base reads, "made in the Xuande era of Great Ming" in regular script.
