Description:
|
The stembowl has a flared rim, deep rounded sides, and a high and hollow foot. Two dragons traipse through lotus branches on the exterior walls, and three entwining lotus blossoms adorn the foot. On both the outside and the inside of the rim and the foot, there are two blue lines. Moreover, auspicious Tibetan relics filled the interior of the stembowl, and they can be interpreted as "the day is peaceful, the night is peaceful, the gentle sunshine is peaceful; peace will last eternally, for it is blessed by the three treasures (Buddha, relics, and monks)". In the center, a Sanskrit character is framed by two rings. Within the foot ring is the reign mark, "made in the Xuande era," in two columns, regular script.
