Description:
|
This piece is in the shape of an eight-petaled flower. On the backside of the mirror is the relief of a soaring dragon. The dragon has a pair of horns with split ends. Its mouth opens widely to encircle the semi-spherical lug of the mirror as if it was carrying a dragon ball. Its body is covered with scales, its taut limbs extend in four different directions, and its tail curls over the right leg. Distinct cloud motifs surround the dragon to suggest that it is flying in the sky. The petal-shaped outer circle is slightly raised, and the alternating bee and flower branch motifs are placed on each petal. A narrow outer rim is slightly raised.
