Description:
|
Carved of white nephrite, the inscribed surface has two parts: the circular part, which alludes to the rounded sky, contains the "Qian" character, and the squared part, which alludes to the squared earth, contains the "long" character. The two characters are flanked by abbreviated dragon patterns. The knob is in two layers: the bottom layer has the form of a "gui," and it is decorated with clouds, seven stars, mountains, and tides patterns; the upper layer portrays five animals in relief.
