Description:
A Ruyi with three inlays. The Ruyi's body is covered with small filigree-rings to imitate a ground. In the center of the cloud-styled head, a rectangular pink jade with round corners is inlaid. On its four sides, there are turquoise (or turkey-stone) flowers that have six-pedals and whose centers are decorated with red crystals and sapphires. Among the flowers, there are turquoise stones imitating different objects such as a gourd, fan, yin-yang board, and a sword. The middle of the stem bulges and is inlaid with a rectangular brown jade with rounded corners. Above and below the jade, two turquoise bats are inlaid; the left and right side is each inlaid with three rubies. The stem's surface is inlaid with more turquoise stones to imitate objects such as a children's drum, flower basket, lotus flower, recorder, flowers whose centers are decorated with red crystal and sapphires, and a pair of the character shou, which means long-life.The tip is also cloud-styled and its center is inlaid with a rectangular pink jade with round corners. Surrounding the jade are eight turquoise flowers that have eight pedals and whose centers are decorated with polychrome gems and sapphires. Rims on the head and the stem are inlaid with azure-stone beads bordering the fretted pattern. The fretted pattern is formed by filigrees as outline and filled in with turquoise pellets. The back has three Shou characters carved on the head, middle, and tip. The surrounding is decorated with a pattern of chased bats and cloud. The tip is attached with a pair of yellow tassels, a decorative knot, and two coral beads.
