Description:
|
The washer has a flared and angled rim, a flat and unglazed base, and the deep and waisted walls. The vessel lends the form from middle eastern Islamic metal water container. It is decorated with sulamari blue. Outside the rim are eight branches of flower blossoms framed by two double-lines. The exterior walls illustrate eight floral scrolls - lotus, sunflower, chrysanthemum, peony, camellia, etc. The border of the rim is decorated with a band of pink and three lines. The interior walls are six floral scrolls -- chrysanthemum, hibiscus, peony, camellia, lotus, etc. The center is a six-petaled floral motif, which is encompassed by a wavy pattern.
