Description:
The interior is adorned by a leaf pattern in a mottled, yellow, and murky blue glaze, and the leaf rolls up slightly at the edge. The artisan first applied a pale yellow glaze on the bow, and then glued a processed leaf in the bowl. Next, the pot was glazed with a high-iron glaze, and then fired. The naturalistic depiction is amusing and poetic. The style is unique to the Jizhou kiln of Jiangxi province, which flourished from the Five Dynasties period to the Yuan Dynasty. It produced various glazes and painting decorations.
