Description:
|
This incense burner shapes like a short cylinder, and it has a slightly inverted rim. Three small pads were stuck in the bottom due to the firing. The incense burner has three feet, where the bottom remains unglazed. The countersunk base is surrounded by six peg marks. The grayish-yellow rice-like glaze covers the exterior, and it is evenly thick, shiny, and crackled. The large crackles are ferrous gray while the fine crackles are golden yellow. The intricate interweaving of large and fine crackles is characteristic of extant Ge wares.
