Description:
|
This vessel imitates the shape of a longneck guard with a neck that tilts slightly to the side. The lid is made in the shape of a bird with a beak that freely opens and closes. On the tail of the bird is a chain that connects to the handle attached to the belly. Each opening on this vessel bears its own purpose: the mouth of the vessel functions as the opening for pouring wine into the vessel, while the beak of the bird is used to serving wine. The neck and belly are decorated with four wide and four narrow ribbons of patterns. The upper two narrow bands are decorated with rope pattern, while the wider bands are decorated with simplified animal masks. All works are extremely delicate and refined.
