Description:
|
The semi-translucent green jade appears brown on the edges, and some dirt remains on the surface. The "S"-shaped dragon has a curling tail. The pair of dragons shares the same form and undergoes the same manufacture process. The design is simple, though the tail seems to be a bit oversimplified. The bulging belly has a small hole. The pendants are decorated with cloud patterns, which are occasionally incised with fine lines. Although the carving is not of the best quality, it closely reflects the regional manufacture of jade in the multi-cultural Eastern Zhou period.
