Description:
This is the largest jade disc in the National Palace museum, Taipei, and possibly the largest one among extant ones. The zitan wood stand was made in the Qing Dynasty.This jade disc has an uneven circumference, and it is uneven in thickness. The hole is drilled from one side. The surface and the edge have straight sawing marks. The jade is gracious with a light red and light green tinge. Its hardness is measured to be 6.5 on the Mohs' scale, and it is nephrite. It is a rare treasure.
