Description:
The ink-slab is sculpted into the shape of a coiled dragon. Made of Deng soil, the ink-slab is yellow with a tint of purple shade. The ink-face is shaped into a circle, and thus imitates a pearl held (or played) by the coiled dragon. The dragon's mouth opens to the ink pool to imitate a posture of causing turbulent wind and scattering rain. On the back of the ink-slab, a carved inscription is visible: The ink and pen move like timely rain. Two round stamps inscribed with "Qian" and "Long" (Qianlong together) follows the inscription. The back imitates the dragon's abdomen, on which another inscription is engraved. The inscription is followed by an endorsement of two zhuan-shu (seal style) characters, Laozhuan, and a seal of Zhongqui.
