Description:
This water holder is sculpted from ivory to imitate the shape of an oval melon. The surface is chased with winding and climbing rattan with a few insects. The melon's body holds water and has a small round opening on the upper part of the body. The cover has the shape of a leaf, on which a beetle lies. When the cover is put on, the piece is a sculpture in complete. The holder comes with an ivory stand.
