Description:
The Ruyi is made of fresh green jade. The cloud-styled head is embossed with a cloud-styled white jade, on which different gemstones imitating different objects are inlaid. There are peaches made of ruby, jade, and leaves made of jade, tree branches made of jade, a crane holding lingzhi in the mouth made of jade, bats made of pink and blue gems, sapphire lingzhi and other glass beads. The stem has no other decorative pattern expect the inlaid white jade which is carved with four characters, Pu-tien-tong-qing, which means a celebration so grand that it includes everything between heaven and earth. The characters are written in kai-shu (chancery style). The tip is attached to another piece of white jade shaped like a gold ingot. On it, different kinds of gems imitating different objects are inlaid. For example, there is a jade peony, little flowers made of rubies, leaves made of green jade, a pot of Evergreen made of jade, and glass beads. The back is blank. The tip is attached with a pair of yellow tassels and a decorative knot.
