Description:
Employing the bronze shape of zun, which is characterized by a trumpet mouth, a round body, and a flaring foot, this vase is made of three separate parts -- the neck, the body, and the foot. It is divided into four sides by four stripes extending from the rim to the foot. Along the stripes are four jutting knobs, which accurately follow the design of the ancient bronze zun. Among extant southern Song Kuan wares, this is the only zun-shaped vase.
